Weather Data for Route Planning

The U.S. National Weather Service offers a free, no‑key‑required API. Pulling hourly forecasts for each delivery zip code and overlaying them on your route density map lets dispatchers proactively reassign risky routes. We built a prototype that highlights zip codes where wind speeds exceed 30 mph—a threshold where package handling becomes dangerous.

Traffic and Road Closure APIs

The HERE Traffic API and local DOT feeds provide real‑time incident data. Our dashboard ingests road closure reports and calculates alternate route durations automatically. It's not perfect—construction data sometimes lags—but it's saved our DSP partners countless hours of driver frustration.

Economic Indicators for Demand Forecasting

The Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) API is a goldmine.
